Melanie Covington was born in Saint Louis, MO in the 70's. She was picked out of an audience, at the tender age of 4, to sit in with the original "Temptations". Her small frame duplicated dance steps, face gestures and sang loud enough to be felt & heard, during a charity performance at the Annie Malone’s Children’s Home.

Melanie was active in church, musical functions and became the drum section leader in high school. Ms. Covington left Saint Louis to perform on tour for 4 weeks. The performance contract was actually for 7 months and was managed by ECI of New York (Kool & the gang).

She later formed an all female band “Kymistry”. Her band was selected to tour with 70’s artist, “Roy Ayers” and opened for: The Braxtons, Back Street Boys, Glenn Jones, Johnnie Taylor and maintained a three city performance schedule of 6 shows every week.

Ms. Covington is an exhibit consultant for a leading tradeshow marketing firm, yet performed 3 nights a week @ Houston’s Jazz venue, “The Skybar”. She is currently featured on air, via jingle commercials and is a session vocalist.
